The performance requirements of our employees are defined in our skills model, which contains detailed descriptions of the technical, social, methodological and management skills. We also apply this model for identifying and utilizing your own personal performance potential and your individual strengths and developmental areas.

One of our basic tools for staff development is the annual employee appraisal interview. This is a platform for you to agree on individual development measures with your manager and to receive personal feedback, free from the time pressures of daily business operations. As a second tool, our annual HR appraisals with our managers help us to determine the individual and collective development requirements in accordance with the strategic orientation of our specialized departments.

Leadership Development – We work with you in systematic management development
Our goal is continuous development of our leadership culture. Our Sartorius management guidelines apply here as binding instructions for our management personnel. Through the 180° feedback process, you can determine as a manager the extent to which you are already implementing the guidelines in your daily management role and identify any potential for improvements together with your staff.

Whether you are starting off in your first management role or have been promoted into a new management role, participation in our Potential Checks offers you the opportunity to obtain detailed feedback on your management potential and individual development areas. We advise and support you in your individual development measures or in your participation in our development programs.

Age Management – Our systematic approach to intergenerational learning

We require and promote lifelong learning. To meet the challenges of demographic changes and the resulting skills shortage, we have developed the “Learning Partnerships” tool. This program brings together older and younger workers for a bi-directional knowledge transfer. Within the framework of projects and specific tasks, workers systematically share with each other the wisdom of experience and understanding of the newest technologies.
